	Services

	Boarding We have two barns with 20 stalls. We board a limited number of stall and field horses. We also keep horses overnight for our clinics, camps and shows. All of our boarders are required to participate in our lesson/training program. We feel strongly about keeping in touch with you and your horse through lessons once a week and also schooling your horse if necessary. Riding Lessons At Alta Vista we have been teaching big & little kids to ride since 1995. Our excellent team of instructors and patient, experienced horses can teach you basic horsemanship skills such as catching your horse and tacking up, grooming and confident riding skills. In our school horse program, we teach riders who utilize our horses. Most of our clients find they improve the most riding once or twice a week, and are able to advance their skills to whatever level they desire. This may include participation in a group lesson once a week, or leasing a horse and riding three to five times a week. Training Horses We encourage participants in our lesson program to have us ride their horses once a week. This helps the horses in learning new skills, as well as keeps us more in touch with your horse and its level of training. Camps/Clinics At Alta Vista we offer many opportunities to pursue your goals and have fun. Our camps and clinics offer extracurricular activities, and are designed for riders of all levels, whether or not you own a horse. We have four summer camps for kids 5 and up. They enjoy riding, arts & crafts, games on & off horseback, and a show the last day of camp for parents and friends to come see what the kids have learned through the week. We offer two event camps through the year for kids and adults who are interested in learning more about the sport of eventing, as well as adult camps and seminars. We also host clinics with such riders as Ralph Hill, Mark Combs, Peter Gray and Jim Graham.
